The definitive moment in my life arrived when, at age 19, I carried a backpack out of the Midwest and traveled solo to Africa. A seasoned traveler at age 21, I yearned for a calling that would allow me to follow an artistic spirit and a vagabond heart. In time I evolved into a professional musician, singing and playing my way around the world.

My favorite country is Brazil. What astonishing music! Mexico is a close second - the people have such generosity. I love to speak and sing in Romance languages. My favorite city is San Francisco where I became a jazz musician. I cherish the quality of honesty in a person.

As a Buddhist, I try to live compassionately.

My home is now in Seattle, where I specialize in plalying Brazilian music. I give workshops in Body Mapping for Musicians and teach private lessons in voice and piano from the Emerson Studio of Music in the Fremont district.
